Overview:
Yoon is a London-based international concert violinist and educator. She regularly performs at prestigious venues in the UK, across Asia and Europe while maintaining a vibrant teaching practice.Education:
Yoon studied as a scholarship student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (BMus) and the Royal Academy of Music, London (MA). She also holds a teaching endorsement from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and an LRAM from the Royal Academy of Music.During her studies, Yoon was a finalist in the conservatoire concerto competition and received high commendation in the Louis Carus Duo Ensemble Prize. She has participated in masterclasses with leading violinists including Simon James, Tobias Ringborg, and Nicola Benedetti.

Work:
Yoon has collaborated with a wide range of distinguished artists and ensembles, including Nicola Benedetti, Thomas Søndergård, Ludovic Morlot, Alice Farnham, John Wilson, Semyon Bychkov, the Brodsky Quartet, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and the Scottish Ensemble. She also co-led the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland.Her performance credits include playing for HRH The King of England at Buckingham Palace and working as a session musician on Hollywood film soundtracks such as the Netflix hit K-POP Demon Hunters. Beyond the concert hall, Yoon is a highly sought-after event musician, performing across music videos, weddings, luxury hotels, and large-scale arena events – including the Resorts World Arena (Birmingham) for ESL One, the Dota 2 World Championship.A passionate and dedicated educator, Yoon spent a year in residence at the Yehudi Menuhin School and is now based in Wembley. She has worked as an ambassador for the Benedetti Foundation and serves as a class leader for Mini Mozart, specializing in early-years music education. Across her position at St Mary’s School, Clapham and her private lessons, Yoon teaches over 30 pupils weekly.

Yoon is a passionate and dedicated violin and piano teacher with experience working with students of all ages and abilities, from young beginners to advanced musicians. She tailors her teaching approach to each student’s individual needs, ensuring lessons are engaging, supportive, and rewarding.She is currently a Visiting Violin and Piano Teacher at St Mary’s R.C. Primary School and also offers 1:1 lessons at her Wembley home studio or at pupils’ homes.Yoon welcomes students of all ages and levels for violin, and up to Grade 5 for piano. She prepares students for ABRSM and Trinity exams while fostering a positive, encouraging environment that nurtures skills, confidence, and musical expression. Her studio features a Steinway & Sons Model K piano, enhancing lessons for both piano students and violinists she accompanies. Yoon holds an enhanced DBS check.
